06.07.03 at 10:30 PM HH: Part 3 Today I doodled C.B. and Electra. I went though a short little Starlight Express phase, but now I am back to Horatio Hornblower, and the rest of this entry is just my musing on part III, so you can skip this entry if you have no interest in Horatio ^_^;. I just finished watching part III of the Horatio Hornblower mini-series, the third episode being "The Duchess and the Devil." Well, first of all, Archie. Rock on. Slash possibilities have increased once again. Though I never really thought he was dead or anything... That would just be too horrible. I am going to start reading Billy Budd by Herman Melville tomorrow. I would actually like to finish the Horatio Hornblower series before I start it, but I do not know if I will be able to... Well, I suppose I could get up at 9-ish, and that would be alright. I could watch the rest of the series (3 more tapes) and then start on the novel. My dad and I have not picked out a car for me yet, but I hope we do so soon. I have already decided that I am naming my car the "Indefatigable," or the "Indy" for short, of course. Arggh. I feel like such a pirate. There is just something about Horatio Hornblower that makes the adrenaline run. I am not lusting after him or anything. It is the story line and Horatio's predicament that interests me. I mean, he is cute, but that is only icing on the cake. I am so happy Archie is back. He was just so cute, and then that bastard Simpson had to come around. Ah, crikey. What did Simpson do to Archie to make him to prone to nightmares and seizures? A fangirl like myself who constantly has slash on the brain wonders this. Verbal, psychological, physical, and, dare I say, sexual abuse? Archie is just angsty anyway, though. Though I was slightly afraid for Archie during the middle of the episode. I was afraid that Horatio would not be able to bring him out of his little shell, so to speak. I suppose I should not have doubted Horatio. You know, to me, all of that "You are one of us, and we are not leaving without you" would have better been replaced with "You are my lover and I am not leaving without you." But then again, I am a slash fangirl. And Horatio x Archie is the most prominent pairing, I think. Or Simpson x anyone in a violent non-consensual matter. Either/or. Believe it or not, though, I am not watching this for the slash possibilities. Again, just icing on the cake. I am watching it because it is Horatio Hornblower and I look up to him. Oh, would that I were a man in the late 1700s and apart of the British navy! "But Leah," you say, "Scurvy, no land in sight for months, small food rations, bitchy commanding officers." Bring it on.
