08.07.03 at 8:53 PM Books. Ah, I bought a new book today: Mr. Midshipman Hornblower by C.S. Forester. Like that is a surprise to anyone, but... Eh. I wanted it. There are ten Hornblower novels all together, I believe, mine being the first novel. I flipped through it and did not see much of Archie... Ah, well. I am probably not going to start reading it for a while though... I need to work on my summer reading for English class. I also got my driver's license today. It has been almost a year since my 16th birthday, but I had no desire to get my license, honestly. I do not like to drive much. I have been helping Ian raise his chocobos in his Final Fantasy VII game today. That has been interesting. I started to write my next AVS entry, but did not finish it. It really does not matter though, for Lizzy will not be back for over a week, so I have time. I started reading Billy Budd, and the symbolism is so obvious, even though I am only on chapter four. Billy obviously represents Christ. It is ridiculously obvious. Ah, well. We shall see what becomes of our "Handsome Sailor". Perhaps he will be sacrificed in some way :P. Hopefully I will finish the novel in a few days, though. Tomorrow, I have to go buy all of my school books, plus pay all of my fees. All together, I think I have to pay more that $600. There is a graduation fee, AP fees ($100 per class, and I am taking two! -_-;;), etc. Ah, well. I think I only have to purchase 5 books (2 Theology books, an English book, a Psychology book, and a Sociology book), as three of my classes do not require books. I like it when it works out like that. That means I do not have to go to my locker as often. It will be odd being a senior. I found the following quote yesterday, and I liked it very much: I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by; And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking, And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking, I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied; And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying, And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life.
