Some philosophy.

Time seems to fluctuate when one is in love. Either time seems to lengthen, anxiety and the perils of waiting pressing down on a lover's soul, or time seems so quick, nearly nonexistent, euphoria and ecstasy filling a lover's mind, making one forget time.

I prefer the latter, myself.

Loneliness, fear, and rejection are poisons of the mind. The antidote is a simple mix of faith, hope, and optimism.

Whatever someone is feeling, s/he is usually at fault for it. Someone slanders another unjustly, and the slandered becomes terribly distraught. However, one lets his or herself become that way. If one thinks, "I know that is not true, and the one who said it is not worth my anger, my frustration," then one's feelings of despair begin to dissipate. To take control of one's life, to live life to the fullest, one has to be in control. One should not let others distress, anger, or worry them. If one remains peaceful, calm, and optimistic, their emotions are his/her own to control. Typically, people let others control their emotions, however.

One must believe in oneself. Without faith, all is hopeless. One must stand true to what s/he believes, and must never back down. If one truly believes something is possible, then it will become a reality with effort from the believer.

...And now for something completely different.

I received a new CD today called "Faeries: A Musical Companion to the Art of Brian Froud." It is really beautiful... I like the following song best on the CD.

Nevermore
Vocal: Emily Aylmer and Ruth Cahill

I dream a dark caressing ocean shore
The moon has drawn me to its side
I glimpse the shadow of a mystery
That floats beyond my fingers as I cry
And the stars shine on the dune
And I see you in the moonlight

Your voice is silence in my memory
Your secrets never were revealed
I see your footprints in the sand
I touch them softly with my hand
And though we've both been here before
Nevermore

Our words are written in the sand
I sweep them softly with my hand
And though we've said these words before
Nevermore
