Trip ^.^

The Institute of Art was very neat! When my dad and I arrived (which was an hour and a half late, by the way; my dad really got us lost), we met up with my Aunt Karen who wanted to come along with us.

First, one of the game arts students gave me a tour, and he was really cute ^_^.

I like the floors in the building... they are checker board like.

Anyway, afterwards, we talked to an admissions representative, Natalie, who interviewed me a little to make sure I was the kind of person they were looking for at the college.

Afterwards, I went to a presentation which described all of the majors available. Then I went to a presentation set aside simply for animation and game arts.

The atmosphere of the school is pleasant. The people there have sort of shied me away from illustration as a major with all their talk: "We do not create starving artists here. If you want to be a starving artist, go major in painting," and the like. I am interested in studying game arts now, though. It is a 36-month program, either 3 or 4 years, depending on how long you want to drag it out. I do not know whether or not I want to speed it up and only do it in 3 years. That would be more stressful, I think. Meh. I will figure that out later. I just have to write my admissions essay and then I am in.

Obviously I am rather confident about myself now, which is a bit abnormal.

Oh, I am still working on my new layout. I will hopefully be finished next week sometime.

I am going to finish up Othello tonight hopefully. I picked that one to read first, just because I already know the story of Hamlet (I will probably just skim that to take a few notes), and King Lear does not look overly interesting.

My dad said he would be my AVS buddy if Lizzy quit on me.
