10.08.03 at 10:34 Savvy. Today, my grandma gave me her copy--an original from 1949--of Lord Hornblower by C.S. Forester! I was not aware that she had such a book, though she does have quite a lot of novels. Bookshelves and bookshelves of them. Whenever I stay the night at their house and sleep in their guest bedroom (the one with all the books) I have to take a look at this one book called The Sensuous Man. It is a how-to book for men to, well, you know, with women. One of the points made in the book, however, kind of irked me: The author states that homosexuals only care about physical appearance and not personality. Yeeeah. Granted, it is a really old book; who knows when it was written. It was my grandfather's obviously. Ian and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean tonight, just the two of us. We would elbow each other whenever Jack said 'savvy.' Heh. Earlier today, Ian and I drove around the neighborhood for a half an hour or so, basking in the glory that is my new car. Sigh, I cannot help myself. It is a gorgeous little bugger. But Ian and I have been having fun together lately with the car. Kenny loves it as well, and so does my Aunt Karen and Aunt Dottie. They made me drive them around a bit in the Indy when I went to my grandma's house this morning. Well, I am off. Have to write some articles and what-not for the newspaper. -Leah |
