Gnosis

Another entry, forgive me -_-;.

I remember a while ago I read articles and so forth that explained the meaning of 'Magdalene.' It is not a surname, but a title of authority. Mary Magdalene was a teacher of young girls; she taught them to worship Sophia, or Azna as I like to call Her. Just reading that let a whole bunch of puzzle pieces in my mind fall into place.

I knew she could not be just some prostitute, and Gabriel Knight III reaffirmed that fact. I think Gabriel Knight III hit on some very Gnostic points.

Gnosticism is amazing. The things Jesus says in the Gnostic texts are so profound. Whenever I get depressed, I just try to think of my Gnostic beliefs, and that helps greatly. Like this, which, I believe, is from the Gospel of Thomas? Maybe? I can't recall: "Jesus said, 'Mortals have been created to dwell in the Garden of Delights. All else is death. Find that Garden where the Parents have placed the Fountain of Love, and you will live forever in bliss.'" I have to remember that this is only a boot camp, and that I will be out soon, and I will be happy. That keeps me going. I want to get my bloody diploma and get out soon, though -_-;.

I like the following quote from this website: "Jesus is NOT coming back because there is nothing for him to come back to!!!"

Aside form that random insert there, one of the opening lines from the Gospel of Thomas always makes me shiver: "Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience death." And Gnostics claim to know the interpretation, of course.

In Theology class today, we were reading this passage from Acts of the Apostles, and my teacher was explaining to the class what the passage meant. I was sitting there thinking, 'Um, no. That is not what it means.' I have these random Gnostic moments in Theology all the time.

I love my faith ^_____^

And I can have front row seats to Starlight Express 24/7 if I want to when I get Home. No worries. I am feeling much better now than I was earlier.
