20.11.03 at 2:47 PM Maurice I am reading Maurice again. It is so angsty at first of course, but I am so glad it has a happy ending. The ending gives me strength, gives me hope. It is inspiring, magnificent. I love it. And as I have said before, this is the novel that mirrors many of my experiences; literally I could change the names and it would be Leah instead of Maurice. 'Cept I do not have an Alec yet ^^;. Though I do want one eventually. I read the end notes by the author, and E.M. Forster states that he finds Clive annoying and dislikes him, thinks everything Clive does is wrong. I like that. It boosts the ego. Does E.M. Forster have any more similar novels? I shall have to investigate. -Leah |
