Dream.

I had a most interesting dream last night. It involved AVS characters, though they were somehow in a "Matrix" situation with a "Soul Reaver" setting.

Okay, Lex had a Neo "feel" to him, but he looked like Lex, not Neo. Lex was the king of Zion in my dream. He was dressed in all gold, his hair pulled up a little differently than it usually is. He unsurprisingly had an air of seriousness and elevated authority.

Sindor was dressed in all white with gold trim. His hair was shorter and curled; it was cute. He had no official title within the Zion governmental system, but he was really treated almost equally to Lex, so that shows Zion's need for him, and Lex's, too.

Adhemar and Ella were dressed in gold, but not as dressed up as Lex. They seemed to have the feel of... servants? I don't know if that is what I want to call them. Attendants, perhaps. Heralds.

The eroticism between the Sin and Lex was much more evident and more deeper than in AVS. They seemed figuratively connected, inseparable, as if one was no good without the other. And that was, in some ways, true. But I shall get to that.

Anyway, some background on the situation at hand: In my dream, Zion is at war with the robotic race. However, unlike in "Revolutions," there is no possible way, as of yet, that Zion can win. The rulers of Zion were trying desperately to determine some way to overcome the robotic creatures, but their ideas were limited. Finally, some well-respected scientists of Zion suggested that they make a time-travel device so that when Zion falls, the one who possesses the device can go back in time--and one can only go back in time six-months (it's a fixed time). However, this device is in two parts: one part given to the king, one part to another of his choice. They are two sets of shoes: one set actually sends the two persons back in time, and the other pair allows the wearer to actually remember what happened in the future, as no one else will when they travel back in time, because those events haven't happened yet. That person, Sindor, will tell the others what they should do in order to better defend Zion based on what happened in the future. This process has happened several times before my dream begins. So, we really cannot have one without the other, Lex or Sin, because they are both needed.

So, in my dream, the robots are attacking. Lex, Sin, Ella, Adhemar, and a few others are in a secret hiding space above one of the rooms in Zion, and the room below them has a domed ceiling. All of the rooms in my dream (in the future, anyway) were all murky and blue-tinted (like the spectral realm of Soul Reaver, if anyone has played that). They are all standing on the supportive structures there, as they are afraid if they stand on the ceiling itself, it will fall through. So, as to be expected, some unnamed character's foot slips and he falls and creates a big hole in the ceiling. He pulls himself up, but the robots still turned their attention to everyone above.

A robot, one of the sentinels, then sticks some of its tentacles through, trying to grab any of the human in secret room. One of the sentinel's tentacles wrapps itself around Sin's ankle and pulls Sin down into the room below. Sin cries out in fear.

Lex leaps from the upper room to the lower and yells, "Stop! Release him!" Adhemar and Ella jump down, too.

The sentinel's tentacles wrap tighter around Sin, a sort of a "yeah right, dude" kind of gesture. Lex walks closer to Sin, Adhemar and Ella yelling behind him to the sentinel that it had better do what he said, because he was the king of Zion. The sentinel hesitated, obviously having had an order not to harm the king of Zion. Yet.

In the meanwhile, two other sentinels lurking behind Adhemar and Ella quickly use the sharp ends of their tentacles to skewer Adhemar and Ella until their pained cries could be heard no more.

Lex winced as if in pain as he heard their cries, but fearlessly walked closer to Sin, and the sentinel gradually released Sin and flew a short distance away. Lex took the shaken and frightened Sin in his arms and hugged him tightly, Sin thankful for his life.

(You wonder why Lex was not so concerned about Adhemar and Ella's death? Sin and Lex plan on going back in time, so their deaths will never have happened in the past.)

Lex then took Sin's hand and ran to an adjacent room, only to find a very huge and scary robot-like thing. After Lex fought the robot for a while, he and Sin ran further off. Lex held Sin in his arms and they began to carry out their time-travel thingy.

Six months previous then, Alexander still holds Sin, but asks him, "Sindor? What is wrong? You are shaking." Sin replies that they have just come back from the future. Lex does not remember this of course, but believes Sin nevertheless. Sin is rather emotionally distraught anyway, having had to watch so many others die over and over again and still have the memory of it.

Sin and Lex walk out of the room to seek out the council of elders so Sin can tell them all that had happened in the future.

And then I woke up.
